Where’s Raven? June 2012

Welcome to June, Internet marketers! June is National Candy Month, so you know it’s going to be a good time.

It’s also National Accordion Awareness Month, which we totally support as well. Ravens will be leaving their accordions behind (but possibly bringing candy) as we travel to June conferences including BlogWorld, Velocity and more. There’ll also be plenty of online goodies for those of you we’ll only see virtually. Here’s what we’re up to in June.

BlogWorld New York June 5-7

Our very own User Experience Manager Alison Groves will be representing Raven at BlogWorld New York, a social media gathering that brings thousands of content creators and publishers from 50+ countries together for 3 days of cutting-edge conference sessions.

Alison’s session is on a topic Ravens know a little about: link building!
Link Building: The Best Marketing Strategy You’ve Never Heard of will explain the hows and whys of link building as well as offer tips on building relationships and incorporating social media and other tools and strategies.

DFW Social Media Marketing June 18

Raven’s Chief Marketing Officer Brannan Atkinson will join DFW Social Media Marketing (#DFWSM), Dallas/Fort Worth’s largest social media marketing group, for their monthly meeting to share some secrets about Raven’s social media strategy.

His talk, “Preaching to the Choir: Social Media Lessons from a Community of Marketers,” will focus on Raven’s unique social media challenge: marketing to marketers. Attendees will get a look at Raven’s social media philosophy and strategy as well as some tools that help manage the social media workload.

Velocity 2012 June 25-27

O’Reilly’s Velocity Web Performance and Operations Conference in Santa Clara, CA, attracts the smartest minds in web performance and operations. We’ll be sending some of our many Raven developers to learn from peers, exchange ideas with experts, and share what has worked (and equally importantly, what has not worked) in real world applications. The focus at this conference is on practical, large-scale web development, and we’ll bring new ideas back to make Raven’s platform even better.

At Ravenchat June 27

Join us June 27 at 3 pm CST (GMT-5) on Twitter for #Ravenchat. We meet monthly with a special Internet marketing industry guest to talk about SEO and social media tips and trends, link building and how to make the most of your Raven account. Get a look at the good stuff that comes out of this event by checking out the wrapup of last month’s chat with Ross Hudgens.

In webinars June 7, 14, 21 and 28

As usual, you can connect with us any week during our popular walkthrough webinars that offer an overview of the entire Raven platform, with live question-and-answer sessions. These webinars take place every Thursday at 11 a.m. CDT (GMT-5). To see the latest webinar sign-ups, visit the webinars section of our customer care page. (You can also look here to find the archived version of any webinars you might have missed.)

On social media anytime

You can always talk to us on our official Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and LinkedIn pages. We love hearing from you! We’re also collecting cool, funny and interesting Internet marketing stuff on Pinterest, too.

And most days, you can also find a whole flock of Ravens on Twitter.
