The New Face of Online News in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn., April 23, 2006 ” Sitening launched a redesigned NashvillePost.com. The new website is focused on search engine optimization and marketing strategy.
NashvillePost.com’s previous site charged a subscription fee to access all articles. The new site allows visitors to purchase individual articles or subscriptions for recent articles, but archived content is freely available.
“The new site features cutting-edge Web technologies and techniques, and the underlying strategy will help NashvillePost.com compete for search engine real estate” says Jon Henshaw, Sitening’s Director of Interactive Design. “Opening the archived stories to the public will increase visitor traffic and ad revenue.”
Sitening implemented a RSS feature to improve the Post’s ability to deliver breaking news. Site visitors will have the option to create custom RSS feeds on any topic and be instantly notified when a relevant article is published. The site also includes Web 2.0 features like podcasts of audio interviews, a tagging system to link related stories and the ability for readers to interact throughout the site.
Sitening is a Nashville-based information technology company whose premium services include web design and programming, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), custom database applications, and ecommerce integration.
