Raven Wrap-Up: Sept. 2013
It’s the end of September – a month that saw Raven launch a few asked-for features, start a pretty awesome new webinar series, submit to a Reddit Ask Me Anything (yikes!) and some more good stuff. Let’s recap!
What’s new in Raven
The newest development in Raven’s platform that you might have missed is the ability to post both photos and videos to your Facebook and Twitter accounts right from our social tools.
It’s a feature lots of you have asked for, so give it a try. Read more about how to get started here.
Another new Raven development we’re really excited about is Marketing Flight School. That’s our new weekly webinar training series that focuses on important tactics and activities that online marketers do every day, like SEO audits, competitive analysis, ranking results, reporting and business development.
We offer a new 45-minute webinar each Thursday at 11 a.m. Central covering the specific tools and data that you’ll need to tackle common marketing activities in Raven. Not only will you learn which tools do what, but you’ll pick up specific strategies to simplify (and speed up) your campaigns.

Do you HARO? Help A Reporter Out is a free service that hooks you up with e-mail queries a few times daily from reporters who need experts for specific stories. It’s a great way to build press mentions and thought leadership. And Raven customers who subscribe to HARO can use both tools together to increase their chance of great press coverage while decreasing the time it takes to get it done. Find out how.
Facebook is the latest social network to add hashtags, with the aim to generate more social buzz around common and popular topics. Did you know you can add hashtags to Facebook posts right from Raven? We’ve got the how-tos and best practices right here. Get started now.
A custom favicon – that little icon that appears in browser windows – can give a site that extra bit of polish – particularly if it’s a site clients are going to be accessing and viewing. And it’s super easy to create in Raven. Here’s how to set it up.

So it was especially nice to see this post from Noob Warrior. Running his site through Site Auditor led to an important SEO discovery. A few quick changes later, and the site has already seen its first sale!
