Raven hires 1 UI/UX designer and 2 developers

“10 million strong, and growing.” Do you remember that Flintstones Vitamins commercial jingle?

When I counted up all the Ravens to introduce our three newest, and came to the grand total of 29, that’s the ditty that kept playing in my head.

Raven may not have 10 million employees, but we’re strong, and growing.

As usual, the newbs got the ole Vanity Fair Proust questionnaire. They picked the questions, they wrote the answers. Get to know them:

Sarah Musselman

  1. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
To be relaxing by the ocean with good company, eating lobster in one hand and drinking an adult beverage in the other. It sounds so perfect in my head, except I know that I’m going to need both hands to eat all that dreamy lobster.
  2. What is your greatest fear?
It’s a tossup between confined spaces, small clusters of holes and bats flying around my head.
  3. What is it that you most dislike?
Smartphones. I’ll admit that I own an iPhone, but it does not own me. It sincerely bothers me to see people constantly looking at their phones while driving, eating, walking, being with other important human beings, etc.
  4. What is your greatest extravagance?
Over the past couple of years I’ve been my boyfriend’s guinea pig in the kitchen while he’s been pursuing his culinary arts degree. We are relatively picky eaters and are willing to spend more for quality. So, I’d definitely say food. And shoes.
  5. What is your most treasured possession?
I recently had to clean out my childhood bedroom in Indiana, so I came across a lot of forgotten yet sentimental things. Of these, the baby quilt my grandma and mom made for me still means the most.
  6. What or who is the greatest love of your life?
I’m a happy dog-mom to two spoiled miniature dachshunds named Charlie and Lucy. How could you not love these faces?
  7. Charlie and Lucy

Totes adorbs! Charlie, left, and Lucy.

  8. Which talent would you most like to have?
To be able to cook. I can bake brownies and cookies with my eyes closed. But give me the freedom to experiment with ingredients and flavors? It will be a disaster.
  9. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I am a creature of habit who thrives on routines, to-do lists and planning. I’ve always wished that I could be more spontaneous and willing to take risks.
  10. What is your most marked characteristic?
People tend to comment on my quietness, which is understandably mistaken for shyness. I was voted “Most Shy” in high school and was once thought to be deaf by a classmate in 6th-grade science class.
  11. Who are your favorite writers?
I know she’s considered a songwriter, but I have to choose Joanna Newsom. Her lyrics are stories that can be easily enjoyed without music. I love both, so I am OK with being a bit biased.

    “It’s all good.”
  4. On what occasion do you lie?
Height/weight sections on any form ever.

Spending too much time outside while growing up. I should’ve been inside, on a computer… that’s where the money is.
  6. In which we poke slight fun at Eric.
  7. What or who is the greatest love of your life?
My wife and new baby boy are at the top of my list! But my two pugs, Banjo and Ukulele, come in a close second.
  8. Which living person do you most despise?
Nicki Minaj, Snooki, and/or Tom Brady. Take your pick.
  9. What do you dislike most about your appearance?
Hairline. I’m also known as the guy who wears hats every day.
  10. What is your greatest extravagance?
    Whiskey collection.
  11. What is your favorite journey?
Uncharted 3. I feel like Indiana Jones, only more amazing. If you could even imagine that.

“The other day.” When I say that, and I say it all the time, it could mean anything from three years ago to yesterday.
  11. Which talent would you most like to have?
The ability to remember anything I hear, see or read. My memory is mediocre at best, and I’d prefer not to have to take as many notes and not to set as many reminders for myself.

That’s really random – Babak did one of my tattoos here in Memphis a couple years ago. haha

I had to comment, Sarah’s dogs are too cute, the graphic in Eric’s made me laugh, and I gotta agree with Jeremy on Jack Reacher. Read all the books. Anyway, as you were. :)

I think Eric worked one day before leaving to go have a baby, so we had to make fun of him a little :)
