New Features: Raven updates Majestic SEO link metrics and AdWords metrics

Majestic SEO updates link metrics

Yesterday our third-party partners at Majestic SEO announced new link metrics.

Today, we’re happy to tell you that those updated link metrics—named Trust Flow and Citation Flow—are now available in Raven. You’ll find them incorporated in Raven’s Research Central tool now, and the Site Finder and Backlink Explorer tools shortly. UPDATE 4:08 p.m. CDT: These metrics are now updated in Raven’s Site Finder and Backlink Explorer tools.

These are the definitions of the new metrics, according to Majestic’s announcement:

  • Citation Flow: Predicts how influential a URL might be based on how many sites link to it. This replaces Majestic SEO’s ACRank. The scale is 1-100.
  • Trust Flow: Predicts how trustworthy a site is based on how trustworthy its linked neighbors are. This is a new metric. The scale is 1-100.

Because Raven also incorporates SEOmoz’s mozRank and mozTrust, you can compare all four metrics side-by-side with our Research Central tool.

Remember, Research Central works at the domain or the page level, so you can drill down as much as you like to compare link quality data—and much more. Go to Research > Websites > Research Central to start your research.

Google AdWords metrics updates

PPC practitioners and Internet marketing managers have been asking for several additions to our Google AdWords metrics section, especially for reporting purposes. We’re happy to tell you that in Metrics > Google AdWords, you now can:

  • Compare date ranges for your data. For example, you can compare year-over-year, month-over-month, week-over-week data—any two date ranges of the same length that you want to compare. Compare April to November, even. You’ll see a percentage comparison in the summary metrics.
