How To Create a Raven Desktop App for Macs and PCs

Ever wish Raven had a desktop app that you could quickly launch and dive right into? I actually get asked this a lot at the conferences Raven attends, and I always show off the one I created using Fluid. Fluid is a Mac application that allows you to create a desktop application out of any website or web app.

If you’re a Windows user, you can use the application Prism. Set up for both is easy, too:

Mac users

  1. Download and install Fluid.
  2. Enter your Raven Tools URL. This works whether you have a custom subdomain set up or not. If you don’t have a custom subdomain set up, simply enter this in the URL field: https://raven-seo-tools.com/tools/ …otherwise, you’ll use your subdomain like this: https://subdomain.raventools.com/tools/
  3. Name the app. We suggest “Raven.”
  4. Choose an icon for the app. You can download this hi-res icon to use as your application icon:
    Raven App Logo
  5. Launch your new Raven desktop app! All you have to do now is log in to your account and you’ll be good to go! Don’t forget to pin your new Raven app to your Dock for quick access.
