With every link that you build, you (hopefully) have a keyword in mind that you want to use as the anchor text for that link. Meaning, if you’re trying to rank for “best seo tools” you would use that as the anchor text to any links you build to the page you’re targeting that keyword phrase on.
The problem is, it can be difficult to keep track of which keywords you’re focusing your hard link building work on and which ones are being neglected.
This is especially true with a team of link builders. There’s a breakdown of communication as to who is focusing on each keyword and the next thing you know, you have 80% of your links focusing on one keyword.
Raven’s Keyword Manager can put an end to those problems. Whenever you add a link to Raven and either enter the anchor text manually, or use Raven’s link monitoring feature to auto-populate it, Raven checks to see if you’ve added that keyword to the Keyword Manager. If it sees it in there, it will update the Keyword Manger to show that you have either a Requested or Active link that uses that keyword as the anchor text.
Using this information you can help refocus your link building efforts and make sure that you’re spending the right amount of time building links for your most important keywords.
It’s also a good point to reference to see how many links you’ve invested in getting a keyword to rank in a certain position in the SERPs. That way you can justify all of those link building hours.
