New Features: Google AdWords Insights tool and Basecamp Time Tracking
Last month, Raven Internet Marketing Tools launched our new AdWords tools to help marketers manage and report on their PPC campaigns. Now we’re making our advertising tools even better with the debut of AdWords Insights.
You can research quality scores for your PPC keywords and landing pages within Google AdWords, but if you have thousands of keywords it’s impractical and time-consuming to evaluate each one individually.
The AdWords Insights tool by Raven brings that information to the forefront to help you instantly find problems with your keywords and landing pages.
AdWords Insights is made up of two components: Keyword Quality and Page Quality.
A campaign’s keyword quality is important because it can affect the cost and performance of a campaign.
“Google doesn’t have a specified minimum quality score to participate, but if the score is 4 or below, ads won’t show often or at all,” Certified AdWords Partner Stasia Holdren says. “People should shoot for 7 or higher.”
The new Keyword Quality tool finds all of your keywords with a quality score of 7 or less. Then it sorts the keywords by lowest score and highlights the reasons why the score is low. The tool reports on relevance, page quality and page latency, and identifies areas that need improvement in order to raise the quality score.
Using this tool you can quickly pause low-performing keywords individually or even pause or delete keywords in bulk. You can also use the shortcut links for keywords and ad groups to make changes in Raven’s AdWords management tool.
Keywords aren’t the only thing that can hurt an AdWords campaign. Landing page quality is also important.
The new Flagged Pages tool displays pages with quality issues. It focuses on page quality and page latency, and lists the number of keywords affected by the page. Clicking on the number of affected links will take you to the Keyword Quality tool, where you can see a list of the keywords associated with that landing page.

- PDF reports can be run only within the tool for now, but will be added to the Report Wizard in the future
Basecamp To-Do Time Tracking
We also have a new Basecamp update that we think you’ll like. Our customers love Raven’s Basecamp integration, and one of their biggest requests has been to add To-Do time tracking. The wait is finally over.
Basecamp accounts that support time tracking (Plus accounts and higher) can now track their time inside of Raven. Track time for an entire To-Do List or an individual To-Do.
As an added bonus, Basecamp To-Do Lists can also be managed inside of Raven. You can now create and edit lists, and turn time tracking off and on.
