3 kick-ass ways to use Raven’s new Site Performance
It’s simple, versatile and chock-full of data. It’s our latest Raven feature, Site Performance.
Site Performance is designed to automatically check and report on 30+ SEO, site and social metrics, all with one click of a button.
This opens up a whole range of possibilities in regards to sales opportunities, competitive analysis and monthly reporting. Here’s a closer look at three diverse ways to use Site Performance.
When we were an agency, I would have killed to have a tool like this. Combined with the new Site Auditor, you can now easily present the status of a potential customer’s site and pinpoint trouble areas that you can fix or improve.
Some of my favorite metrics include:
- Site Auditor data including proper redirection, robot.txt, Google Analytics tracking code, potential crawl issues, malware detection (and now schema detection, too).
- Social widget/button integration checks.
- Number of likes and shares of the domain on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.
The Site Performance tool allows you to compare up to two other websites against the one you’re working on. If you already have competitors in the Competitor Manager, you can choose one from the dropdown menu.
To add a new competitor, simply click on the Add Competitor button.
When you add a new competitor in Site Performance, Raven automatically adds it to the Competitor Manager, too.
Monitoring and reporting
Site Performance automatically updates all of its data whenever you visit the tool (or every two weeks if you don’t visit that often), making it easy to review how your site is improving and compare it against competitors anytime.
You can also include Site Performance data in your client reports. The Report Wizard module allows you to choose multiple competitors, and – like all reports – you can schedule it and have it automatically sent to your clients each reporting period.
